Mary Katrantzou

Fashion designer Mary Katrantzou is famed for innovation in digital print and surface design, taking an object from art or design which could not be worn if it was real, and reworking an idea around the female form.

Born in Greece, she studied architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design, then went on to study textile design with an MA in fashion at Central St Martins in London.  In 2009, within a year of graduating, Mary was already a central figure at London Fashion Week.

Here, she picks her favourite works from the Summer Exhibition, and discusses the interesting juxtapositions that occur in this large and varied show.
